Meet Jenaye
Hey you! My name is Jenaye, and I am currently a second year medical student studying at the University of the West Indies in Kingston, Jamaica. I was born in The Bahamas, and lived in Louisville, Kentucky for six years during my childhood. After finishing high school in Grand Bahama, I went abroad to continue my education at Liberty University, graduating with a B.S. in Biomedical Sciences. As a little girl, I always dreamt of becoming a doctor, so you can imagine my excitement when I got my acceptance letter!
Outside of medicine, I am a lover of all things fashion, food, and beauty. I consider myself an ambivert because I enjoy brunching with friends, just as much as I love curling up in bed with good novel or bingeing Netflix. I launched The Check Up Blog as a creative outlet that allows me to intersect all the things I am most passionate about and have fun while doing it! My mission is to motivate, mentor, and make a mark in someone’s life, no matter how big or small.
The Check Up Blog was created to share the transparent triumphs and struggles during my journey through medical school and beyond. As an multifaceted individual, I believe that it is possible to be dedicated to your career while having a rewarding, fulfilling life. So if you are an ambitious young professional, a fashionista, or someone who wants to live their best life, this blog is for you! My goal is to inspire and spread my light with to as many people as I can, and I hope that you are one of them. Want to collab or have any questions? Feel free to contact me. Welcome to my blog!
