While everyone is stuck at home, it can be easy to neglect tasks or feel unmotivated to do anything. Here are 5 ways to be as productive as possible at home and stay on top of your tasks.
1. Wake up early.
The early bird gets the worm. Waking up early, especially before the rest of your household allows you to get a headstart on the day without any interruptions.
2. Meditate.
Start with your day with clear intentions and good vibrations. Meditate, pray, and focus your mind. Whatever happened yesterday, leave it there. Start with a new slate each day so you can give it your all.
3. Create a schedule and a to-do list.
Even though you may be working from home, create a schedule to keep yourself accountable. Plan your week or month in advance so you can space your tasks out and ensure you give yourself enough time to complete them. Each morning, create a to-do list with your 3 most important tasks. Commit to finishing your to-do list even if you get off schedule.
4. Put your phone down.
Turn off your phone or store it out of sight so you can concentrate on the task at hand. If it helps, use Screen Time or another app to limit the amount of time you spend on your phone.
5. Have a reward system.
Plan to reward yourself if you complete your tasks for the day. Your motivation to finish your tasks will increase when you think about that glass of wine and Netflix that’s waiting for you at the end of the day. What’s one thing that helps you increase your productivity?
